A Balanced Perspective on Luxury and Value at Riu Palace MaldivasMy recent stay at Riu Palace Maldivas offered a compelling blend of luxury and value. Over seven nights, I experienced both a Junior Suite with Beach Access and an Overwater Suite. The location is exceptional; the beach was serene for swimming, while the Overwater Suite provided remarkable marine encounters right from the deck. Both rooms featured complimentary tea and coffee facilities and a well-stocked mini-bar. Cleanliness was commendable, with housekeeping maintaining high standards daily. Dining was diverse, with an all-inclusive buffet restaurant presenting ample choices to accommodate my vegetarian diet. Special mention to sous-chef Vajra for his efforts. The fitness centre, while basic, was sufficient for a light workout. The Riu Palace Maldivas stands as a smart choice for travelers seeking an upscale experience without straying into exorbitance. While the amenities deliver well, minor overruns and reservation issues for beach chairs could use improvement. Still, a solid option for a luxurious getaway.
